Namenda is the brand name for generic Memantine and can be prescribed to help with dementia in patients who have Alzhiemer's disease. Memantine blocks certain chemicals in the brain to help improve awareness and memory allowing the patient to function better.

Take Namenda orally with or without food once a day. Your dosage can vary depending on your initial diagnosis and your response to the treatment.
