The Qvar Inhaler contains Beclomethasone as an aerosol inhalant to deliver a corticosteroid to help decrease swelling and irritation in the airways. This helps you breathe easy and prevent symptoms like wheezing and shortness of breathe in cases of asthma.

Before using your Qvar Inhaler read all the paper work and instructions given to you by your pharmacist. You will not need to shake or prime the Qvar inhaler. Avoid contact with eyes, and take care to firmly place the mouth piece against your lips to ensure a maximum dose.

Your doctor may prescribe multiple puffs from the Qvar Inhaler. If this is the case, wait at least one minute before taking another puff. Other inhaler's may be used along side your Qvar inhaler. Ensure that you give at least a minute between medications, and use the corticosteroid last. Take care to rinse your mouth with water to avoid infection, and never swallow the rinse water.

Speak with your doctor about prior medical conditions, any known allergies, and current medications being used before deciding if the Qvar Inhaler is right for you.

Regular use of this medication is intended to get the maxium effect from your Qvar Inhaler. Beclomethasone does not work right away and should not be used for quick relief in cases of asthma attacks. Document cases if you find that you require the use of a back up inhaler for quick relief from your asthma symptoms.

Beclomethasone can prevent your body from showing signs of infection. Make sure to practice good hygiene by washing your hands to prevent the spread of infections and other diseases.
