Seroquel (quetiapine) is an antipsychotic drug which is used to treat those suffering from mental illness such as schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. Quetiapine works by restoring the balance of neurotransmitters in the brain. Seroquel helps to reduce some psychotic symptoms such as concentration abilities, number of hallucinations and mood swings, and also decrease the intensity of the mood swing. Overall, quetiapine helps one to manage and control their mental illness to a level of living a comfortable, normal life.

  • Taken by mouth as directed, usually 2 times a day
  • With to without food
  • Never tamper with your dosage or stop it without first consulting your doctor. Doing so may increase your susceptibility to side effects.
